ATP outlines upcoming procurements, to issue light‑rail vehicle RFI by month end; single‑step RFP planned for up to 30 cars

ATP staff presented a timetable and technical approach for three major procurements this year and described details for the light rail vehicle (LRV) contract.
Brad Cummings, ATP senior vice president for procurement, said ATP will issue an RFQ for the civil/rail/stations progressive design‑build procurement in early June. The operations and maintenance facility (OMF) procurement had an April RFI with responses due May 28; ATP plans a Connect & Build industry event on May 29 (doors 9:00 a.m., program roughly 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) to help prime contractors and subcontractors meet and form teams. In early June ATP will also publish a vehicle RFI so manufacturers can review draft vehicle specifications and the contract.
