Board unanimously approves audits and service contracts including Potter & Company and student support providers

At its May 20 meeting, the Piedmont Community Charter School board approved multiple audit engagements and service contracts by unanimous voice vote.
Audits: The board approved a retirement 401(k) audit (packet noted a $500 increase over last year) and approved the schoolwide audit contract with Potter & Company.
Student support and specialist contracts: The board approved the contract for school psychologist Ashley Keyes (noted as a small fee increase), a contract with Pediatric Hands On Therapy for occupational, speech and physical therapy (small fee increase), a speech‑language pathology contract with Logan Carter (small fee increase), and a contract with Support Incorporated for one‑on‑one adult support and behavior assistance. The Support Incorporated contract lists a rate of $30 per hour; board members said the school’s attorney, David Hostetler, reviewed and recommended edits to the Support Incorporated contract before board approval.
Board members moved and seconded each contract individually and voted to approve them with no opposed votes recorded. Trustees discussed standard contract review items, including the state’s required “no state indebtedness” clause for contracts.
