Votes at a glance: St. Francis board approves consent agenda, budget revisions, 2026 assumptions and state league membership

Notable changes included $2,548 to expand middle school coaching capacity, a net staff reconfiguration at Crossroads replacing two teacher positions with three behavioral interventionists (net savings indicated), increased Indian education funding district-wide (about $10,000), a supervision stipend for high school evening coverage, and incremental increases to some activity and theater fees. The motion carried on voice vote.

Minnesota State High School League membership: The board approved a resolution to renew membership in the Minnesota State High School League. Staff noted the membership fee structure presented: $100 per school, a $100 registration fee per activity and $2.25 per student, based on state high school enrollment. Board members raised a procedural question about statewide litigation involving the league and suggested the board could revisit participation later if legal conditions change; the motion passed on roll call.
