- Resolution CR 2325 — Waiver for beer sales during Towne Center homecoming (July 25): Council approved a permit/waiver to allow beer sales during the event operated by Grove City Kids Association; John Emmerich, association president, spoke in support. The measure passed by roll call.
- Ordinance C2125 — Town Center loan for 3995 Broadway LLC: Council approved a $75,000 appropriation and loan under the town-center loan program to support improvements at 3995 Broadway. Loan terms described by staff: 15-year term at 5 percent and underwriting/servicing handled by a third-party Community Capital Development Corporation. City administration described the project scope as including segmental walls, concrete walk, signage, fountain, bonded rubber mulch, pavers and lighting; the low bid exceeded the estimate by about $6,000. The resolution passed by roll call.
What was postponed - Ordinance C2225 — Direction on Brook Park Middle School lease and a requirement to halt further investment pending lease renegotiation: Council held a second-reading and public-hearing item and then voted to postpone the second reading so the full council (including absent members) can be present for the discussion. No substantive change to the lease was adopted; council indicated administration and council will continue negotiations to determine whether to renegotiate or terminate the Brook Park lease with Southwestern City Schools.
Procedural notes - Several items on the printed agenda were first readings only (land annexations and zoning items listed for future public hearings on July 7 and July 21) and were not acted on at the June 16 meeting.
