Public Works outlines project timelines for Gardenette, 90th Street, bridges and rehab programs

Roger Stevens (Public Works) said the Gardenette Road Improvements project from 106th to 116th Street North is out to bid with a June 19 opening and a proposed award July 1; if awarded, construction would likely begin in August or September and take about 360 days.
He reported the west phase of East 90th Street construction is ongoing, with work on a right‑turn lane at 121st (noted as North 120 First in the presentation) and that utility relocations for an East 106th/N. 129th intersection project were delayed by weather from June to July. Stevens said ODOT planned to advertise a related project on a June–July schedule with construction to follow 60 days after award.
The 2025 rehabilitation program includes a preventative maintenance phase (an asphalt pavement rejuvenation product described in the presentation) and the annual overlay/repair phase; both were advertised with a recommended award expected at the June 17 meeting and construction to begin in July if approved.
Centennial Park work is near completion with final grading and seeding; park maintenance facility bids were opened and a June 17 award is possible. The 117 force main project crew completed a bore under U.S. 169 and installed pipe toward the wastewater treatment plant.
Stevens listed other projects in design or right‑of‑way acquisition, noted rain‑related delays on several jobs and said the service road north of McDonald’s at 116th was a likely next project to support growth in that area. He answered council questions about timing and right‑of‑way status.
