The revision to the FY2025 RDA budget includes a $60,000 placeholder for a Wayfinding Master Signage Plan tied to the Gateway Urban Renewal Area. Agency staff said that the $60,000 figure is a placeholder and that the plan’s final cost will be allocated across multiple lines, including parks, streets, and impact-fee accounts. Staff said that once current financial obligations are met, most of the allocation would not continue in future fiscal years and that further revisions to the budget could be required if certain developments become operational.
Agency staff identified two developments — McDonald’s and Rush — as projects that, if operational during the coming fiscal year, could trigger the use of Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) monies subject to approval by the Redevelopment Agency board. The board discussed that CRA disbursements tied to those developments would require separate approvals when the projects reach the operational phase.
The public hearings on both the FY2025 revision and the FY2026 budget were opened and closed with no public testimony, according to the record.
