Planning commission to sign annual report for $445,000 GoEO grant funding architecture and engineering work

Project staff told the Planning and Zoning Commission that the town holds a $445,000 grant from the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity (GoEO) to cover architecture and engineering work for the CCC project and that the commission is the approving body for the grant’s annual report.
Project manager Malia Collins said the town used grant funds to pay architects and engineers. She said the annual report is due in July and that, after she completes the report, planning and zoning will be asked to confirm the contents and provide a letter of approval; the letter will be signed by the chair and accompany the submission.
Staff said if timing requires it, a special session will be scheduled to approve the report before the deadline. The commission indicated it will place the GoEO annual report on the July agenda or call a special meeting if needed.
