The Timnath Town Council on June 10 approved the consent agenda, set a public hearing and moved into executive session during the regular meeting.
The consent agenda—approval of the May 27 meeting minutes, Resolution No. 42, Series 2025 (Timnath Finance Committee bylaws) and Resolution No. 43, Series 2025 (amendment to an independent-contractor agreement between the Town of Timnath and HS Incorporated, doing business as ServiceMaster Janitorial Solutions)—was approved by voice vote, 5-0.
Council also approved reading and set a public hearing for Ordinance No. 8, Series 2025, which would adopt an amended purchasing policy; the hearing was scheduled for June 24, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Staff said the proposed changes raise procurement thresholds and streamline processes while maintaining controls and transparency.
Finally, the council voted to move into executive session under Colorado Revised Statutes section 24-6-402(4)(b) for a conference with the town attorney to receive legal advice on specific legal questions related to Lands LLC. The executive session was called and the public portion of the meeting was briefly recessed; the council returned to the public record after the executive session concluded.
