Planning commission ends annual review requirement for Bench Creek Ranch crop processing SUP

The planning commission reviewed the annual conditions for the special use permit (SPS001064) previously granted to Bench Creek Ranch Company LLC for a crop processing facility at 12417 Fitz Lane and concluded that required conditions had been met.
Randy Hynes, Public Works Planning and Building, reported that last year all conditions except landscaping had been met and that staff had visited the site this week and accepted the installed landscaping. Based on staff’s site review, Hynes said all conditions for the SUP have been satisfied.
Commissioner Joe Frey moved that the commission no longer require an annual review for the special use permit; the motion was seconded and carried.
Staff noted the SUP will remain in effect under its original terms but the planning commission removed the annual reporting requirement because conditions of approval have been completed.
