The Rota Legislative Delegation unanimously adopted RLD commemorative resolution 24-01 June 10 to honor the life and legacy of the late Oscar Mendiola.
Chairman Magnolia formally introduced the resolution in the Senate Chamber and said it recognizes Mendiola as “a proud son of Rota whose service, contributions, and enduring love for his people and homeland left a profound impact on the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and beyond.” The clerk recorded a roll-call vote with Senator Cavill, Senator Mendiola, Representative Ogo and Chairman Magnolia voting yes.
The delegation noted the resolution had been introduced previously by the full delegation on May 22, 2025. With all four members voting in favor, the clerk announced the resolution was adopted.
No amendments or further debate on the resolution were recorded during the session.
