City staff told the City Council that summer programming in Agoura Hills begins this weekend with a concert in the park featuring Mirage, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, and that Beach Bus service to Zuma Beach and a movie-in-the-park series will follow.
A staff announcement said the summer concert begins at 6 p.m. this Sunday and encouraged residents to check the city website and Instagram for updates. "Summer starts in Agoura Hills this Sunday," staff said.
Council members used their comments to highlight recent ribbon cuttings and local projects. Council member Klein Lopez reported a ribbon cutting for a high-intensity activated crosswalk beacon (HAWK) across from Reyes Adobe Park and thanked staff, naming Kelly, Charmaine and City Manager Nate Hamburger for their roles. "It is right across from our Reyes Adobe Park... I never wanted to give up on it, and I'm glad we didn't," Klein Lopez said.
Mayor Pro Tem Wolf and Council member Anderson said they attended a ribbon cutting for a new ADA-compliant bridge in Chesebro (Chesebro/Chesebro) that improves trail access and connectivity; Wolf encouraged residents to visit the new trail improvements. Council members also noted the farmers market is performing well, with vendors reporting strong sales.
Council members additionally noted that the city raised a Pride flag at City Hall and thanked Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath for congratulatory remarks when encountered by council.
