McWane Science Center names Brandon Landman as president and CEO

Amy Templeton, who served 13 years as president and CEO of the McWane Science Center after 13 years as deputy director of the Birmingham Museum of Art, told the City Council she has retired and introduced the museum's new president and CEO, Brandon Landman.
Templeton thanked the council and the mayor's office for 26 years of public service and partnerships. "I am stepping down in my official role, but you will see me around because I'm very passionate about Birmingham," she said.
Brandon Landman, who joined from the Orlando Science Center where he was vice president of guest experience, said he has been in Birmingham for just under three weeks and is learning about the city. "I'm really excited to work on a partnership with the council of the mayor's office and continue to do great things over here at the McWane Science Center," Landman said.
Ending: Templeton said she will remain involved in the community; Landman asked for opportunities to meet council members and district constituents as he learns the city and the center's role in serving youth and families.
