Council approves Pavement Technology Inc. contract for resurfacing; staff provided project map

Miss Harpster (public works representative) explained the project would resurface various streets and that the city is contracting resurfacing work in separate contracts to facilitate scheduling. "Part of this resurfacing is that, you do it as a separate contract for to allow for better scheduling," she said and passed a map to council members.
Council members asked whether the work was a "pay paving" situation and staff confirmed the contract funds are for paving work aimed at prolonging road lifespan. The ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into the contract (Ordinance 1 32 25) passed on reading by recorded roll call (6-0).
