Behavioral-health provider Vitality delivers biannual report; Board asks for recidivism and capacity metrics

Vitality Integrated (Vitality) submitted its biannual report on contracted behavioral-health services at the Board of Health meeting on June 5. Vicky Bridal, admissions coordinator covering for the program director, summarized program activity and said Vitality continues to have successful placements and variable client trajectories.
Board members and staff asked for additional performance metrics for future reports. Supervisor questions focused on recidivism/return rates (how many clients re-enter the program after time away), the number of referrals Vitality was unable to serve and reasons for turnaways, and progress on Vitality's facility site and kitchen equipment purchases. Bridal said she would pass those requests to program leadership and that the capital/fit-out work (kitchen equipment and contracts) was underway.
Board members praised the program’s work and urged future reports to include longitudinal outcome measures so the Board can better track whether the program reduces returns to crisis care and improves long-term stability.
Ending: The Board accepted the biannual report and asked Vitality staff to return with requested metrics and a site/equipment update at a future meeting.
