City moves TMUA funds to prioritize water main replacements and pump station work

Staff said some projects were already identified—Berryhill water line replacements (upgrading 2‑inch lines to 6‑inch) and neighborhood replacements in the 56th/Columbia area—and that the appropriations would be allocated to a prioritized list of water main replacements as projects move to design and construction. Staff agreed to notify council offices when designs and schedules are set so councillors can inform constituents.
Committee discussion emphasized completing existing voter‑approved projects (IoT 1–3) rather than creating new scope; finance staff said the transfers would support completing those extents and that prioritization and maps previously provided to council remain the guide for allocations.
