Morrow County commissioners approve bridge bid, sign agreements and set 2026 tax-budget hearing

Other signed agreements and approvals included: a services agreement with Central Ohio Youth Centers for standard detention of juvenile offenders; a special-event venue agreement between Edison Baptist Church and the Morrow County Court of Common Pleas (with authorization for the chairman to sign); and a school resource officer agreement between Northmor Local Schools and the Morrow County Sheriff's Office. All motions passed unanimously with the three commissioners voting yes.
The board approved multiple pay applications and related airport actions: payment application No. 1 from Jay Ranick Electric Incorporated, payment application No. 1 from GW Mechanical & Plumbing for an installed fuel farm at the county airport, and a change order related to a relocation project at the North County Airport. Commissioners also approved appropriating $3,500 of airport funds for the project. These items passed on roll-call votes with Mason, Abraham and Siegfried voting yes.
The commissioners approved personnel and board items, including the reappointment of K. Hass to the Morrow County Zoning Board of Appeals.
Routine financial actions included approval of bills numbered 1 through 79, multiple listed payments and transfers (including airport grant and Brownfield remediation grant receipts, and payments for salt-brine services), and a motion to pay a late fee on an Ohio Edison account for the county area transit operation. Commissioners discussed that the late fee resulted from a change in personnel handling billing; the motion to pay the fee passed with three yes votes.
