The Town of Lakeville Select Board ratified in open session May 30 the employment agreement between the town and Police Chief Matthew Perkins, confirming terms the board previously reviewed in executive session.
Chief Matthew Perkins told the board, “I look forward to continue my service to the town.” Town officials thanked Perkins for his service and said they look forward to his continued leadership.
The board moved and seconded a motion to approve the employment agreement effective June 22, 2025, with a stated term through June 22, 2028. The motion passed on a roll call; one member recorded an abstention.
Board members said the open-session ratification was to confirm and record the executive‑session action in the public minutes and to complete the contract-approval process.
