County accepts two gravel bids, approves material bid to replace timber deck on County Road M bridge

Commissioners voted to accept both bids to preserve supply options during hauling operations; the motion carried with four yes votes.
On a separate bridge project (Project C-79449, bridge C 007926910), Steve explained the work is materials-only: the bridge has a timber deck that will be replaced with concrete slabs, which will raise capacity from a 5-ton limit to a 99-ton rating. Only one materials bid was received from Odin Enterprises for $143,160.52. The board voted to accept the bid; the tally recorded three yes votes.
Steve also updated the board on a separate river bridge rehab: crews removed a crane, cleaned the deck, sealed joints, and scheduled striping and signage for Thursday afternoon; if all goes as planned, he said the bridge should reopen Thursday.
Why it matters: Gravel contracts affect the county—s ability to maintain roads seasonally. The bridge replacement increases load capacity and restores a structure on County Road 35 (between G and H NE of Miniterra). The river bridge reopening restores a local travel route.
