Lenoir County Public Schools staff reported on vendor bid results for the 2025-26 school-year school nutrition and supply contracts and told the board the items will be presented for action at the next meeting.
Staff said the district participates in the Coastal Coalition Consortium for food bidding. For 2025-26, Sysco (Cisco of Raleigh) is listed as the food distributor; Sysco also won the supplies bid. Mayola (milk vendor) was selected again after a new milk bid; staff said the milk vendor results produced a $50,000 difference in pricing compared with another bidder.
Other vendors and renewals reported in the packet included Hershey Ice Cream (final renewal year), Hobart (equipment), and local office supply vendors. Staff said full paperwork and bid documents have been submitted and requested action at the next board meeting.
The board took the presentation as information and did not vote on contract awards on June 2.
