Vineland council adopts multiple ordinances, schedules hearings; closed‑session resolution approved

Vineland City Council on May 13 adopted three ordinances on final reading, approved first readings for four more and passed a resolution authorizing a closed session on contract negotiations. All recorded roll‑call votes on the final readings were 5–0.

The council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 2025‑41, which amends Ordinance 99‑7 (chapter 537 of the Vineland City Code) concerning property maintenance; Ordinance No. 2025‑42, which amends the city's classification and compensation plans for various board titles; and Ordinance No. 2025‑43, which amends Ordinance 2001‑2 to allow up to five additional five‑year renewal terms for an existing cell tower lease between the city and Sprint Spectrum L.P. for space on a municipal tower at 382 West Butler Avenue. Each of those three measures was adopted by a 5–0 vote and was ordered submitted to the mayor for approval or disapproval.
