Thorthey said the State Department of Public Safety, Parole and Probation testified the bill would have no fiscal impact after the policy committee amendment removed the earlier fiscal note.
Committee members moved to "do pass" the bill; Senator Wynne moved the motion and Senator Cannizzaro seconded. The motion carried and Senator Steinbeck was given the floor statement.
No amendments were presented at the Senate Finance hearing and no public opposition was recorded in the committee transcript.
