The Town of Danvers Conservation Commission approved a waiver and issued an order of conditions for work related to a new pool and fence at 3 LeBlanc Drive, DEP file 14-1437.
Applicants John Michael and Amanda Pizzi appeared and described the proposal: a 16-by-32 in-ground pool with a 4-foot hardscape border, an equipment pad against the house, and a fence line located within the 50-foot buffer but outside the 35-foot no-disturb zone. The applicants said the fence would follow an existing grass line and that they will add roughly 100 square feet of pollinator plantings as a mitigation enhancement.
Commission staff confirmed the pool deck and equipment pad locations are outside the 50-foot buffer and noted the standard condition for pool drainage: allow water to sit and diminish chemical concentrations (stock condition requiring waiting period before discharge). Commissioners asked that the applicants revise the plan to move the equipment pad to the house as they discussed and to document drainage procedures. The commission included conditions addressing chlorine/drainage, plan revisions showing final equipment placement, and typical erosion-control measures.
Motions to close the public hearing, to grant the waiver for work in the 50-foot no-build zone, and to issue an order of conditions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The minutes show the commission will require the plan changes before work begins and that pool-drainage will follow the commission’s standard conditions.
