Performances included Māori dances, hula, Taiko drumming, lion dancers from the Marin Chinese Cultural Association, and martial arts demonstrations; vendors included the Asian American Curriculum Project and the Marin Bonsai Club. Organizers cited strong community participation and said they plan future collaboration with the Asian American Alliance of Marin on organizing.
Nooshin (appearing by phone) and other task force members praised the Nowruz (Persian New Year) event, noting it was well attended and that bringing the celebration to Main Street produced “organic traffic” and broad public engagement. Nooshin said the group might distribute a survey to formalize attendee feedback for future events.
