A flight‑school owner told the Santa Barbara Airport Commission during public comment that employees have been the target of repeated harassing phone calls and that personal information about staff has been disclosed to others.
“My employees do not deserve to be harassed by whomever is doing this,” said Sean, who identified himself as the owner of Above All Aviation (also referred to in the record as Aviva Volley Aviation). He said the harassment began last July and continued through the previous Friday and that callers have sometimes used private information about instructors and pilots. Sean played brief audio excerpts for the commission, including a caller saying, “Please call whichever pilot is flying tonight and tell them to quit flying over Rancho Goleta as low as they are,” and an excerpt that said, “It’s the last time.”
Sean told the commission he does not operate a helicopter and asked the anonymous caller to stop contacting and harassing staff. He gave a phone number and invited the caller to meet him at the airport to discuss flight patterns and procedures.
Commissioners did not take formal action on the complaint during the meeting. The comment was recorded during the public‑comment portion of the agenda; staff did not indicate any enforcement action at that time.
