Resident urges city to fund plumbing repairs for lowest-income owner‑occupants

Hirsch disclosed he worked for the City of Austin from 1977 to 2008 and was among staff who wrote the 1987 land development code and criteria manuals; he said he would return to speak again after the city manager releases the proposed budget in July.
The commission did not take action on the comment at the meeting; commissioners asked staff to provide information on past expenditures and programs related to owner‑occupied plumbing repairs as a potential future agenda item.
