The Town of Selma Summer Recreation Advisory Board on May 20 approved its meeting agenda and prior minutes and voted to recommend the renewal application of a board member to the Selma Town Council.
Board members opened the meeting by moving and seconding approval of the agenda and then approving the minutes from the previous meeting. Later in the session the board reviewed a renewal application for Don Barker and voted to forward a recommendation for his reappointment to council.
Meeting audio shows the agenda was approved by voice vote (“Aye”), and the minutes were likewise approved without recorded opposition. An unidentified board member moved to recommend reapproval of the renewal application and another board member seconded; the board voted in favor and directed staff to send the recommendation to the council for formal reappointment.
The actions were routine business and did not include additional conditions attached to the recommendation. The board did not set a hearing date; the recommendation will be forwarded to town council for final action.
Minutes and the agenda packet remain available from Selma Parks and Recreation staff upon request.
