The rescission of the denial for Saldana followed an updated review by county assessment staff. Mike Goodwillie, Douglas County Assessor/Register of Deeds office, told commissioners, "I have instructed our staff to rescind our proposed denial of this homestead application and so we would advocate that you go ahead and grant the protest." Commissioners voted to grant that protest 7-0.
