City manager: ditch project and fire training center complete; Bent Hall driving‑range upgrades start

He said the city budgeted improvements at Bent Hall driving range during the current fiscal year; the upgrades will expand tee capacity and add upgraded ball‑tracking technology (presenters described a system similar to consumer “top‑tracer” tools) to provide distance and curvature data and target games aimed at increasing use for recreation and corporate events.
Commissioners asked about the outdoor pickleball complex and restroom upgrades; Pate said restroom work appears complete and that staff hopes to advertise the pickleball complex bidding by the end of the month. He said a formal presentation with updated final design and timeline will be scheduled at the next or following meeting and noted the contract completion target on the project sheet is December 2025. Regarding the indoor sports facility (“Hoop and Snatchit” in the transcript), Pate said the indoor sports project is scheduled to open next summer.
