At its May 20 meeting the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners took a number of formal actions and votes. - Setting the agenda: The board set the final agenda with additions and deferrals as read into the record; voice vote carried.
- Airport contracts (separate votes): Items 8A1 and 8A2 were moved and approved individually by voice vote as required for commercial-service airport contracts.
- First-reading ordinances (4A, 4C, 4D): The board approved three items for first reading by roll-call vote. The ordinances would: (a) amend Article 44 of the code to add a sunset provision and close the Addiction Services Trust fund; (b) authorize the Northwest Seventh Avenue Corridor Community Development Agency to employ staff and legal counsel as permitted by section 163.356, Florida Statutes; and (c) make equivalent changes for the Northwest 70th Street Corridor Community Redevelopment Agency. - Pool-list and administrative reports: The board approved multiple reports and pool-list items by voice vote, including the procurement timelines report (2B6), the homeowner assistance report (2B2) and the expanded property compliance reporting (2B5).
- Additional actions: The board approved a month-to-month extension of the temporary Doral library lease and a number of other ministerial actions recorded in the clerk's minutes.
