The request was to buy 32 culverts (roughly the going rate of just under $10,000 per culvert as presented) to replace existing pipe and to coordinate centerline work and a future overlay. A motion to approve the purchase was moved and seconded; roll call recorded Ayes from Commissioners Capitan, Grinberg, Flacco, Breitling and Vettel. Outcome: approved.
Property tax abatement (Goldenwood Drive): After reopening a previously heard abatement so the appellant could appear, the board voted to deny Amanda Jensen’s abatement request and to uphold the West Fargo-recommended assessed values (2023: $801,900; 2024: $824,500). Commissioner Capitan moved to deny the request; Commissioner Breitling seconded. Roll call in support was recorded and the motion carried.
Vouchers and consent agenda: The board approved the consent agenda earlier in the meeting and later approved monthly vouchers. A motion to approve vouchers was moved by Commissioner Vettel and seconded; roll call showed unanimous approval by commissioners present. Outcome: vouchers approved.
