Southfield City Council on May 19 approved a special land use for a full teardown and rebuild of the existing gasoline service station and convenience store at 27050 Lasser Road, permitting beer and wine (off-premise) sales and a carryout restaurant as part of the project.
Planner Terry Crowe told the council the site is zoned B3 and that the proposed rebuild includes an enlarged convenience store, auto-mechanic bays (appointment-only service), a redesigned canopy, improved landscaping and a coordinated parking easement on the adjacent former bank property to the north.
