Homestead council approves series of ordinances, two budget increases

The Homestead City Council on June 10 approved several ordinances and two budget amendments during a special call meeting, including rate changes for street lighting and two separate general-fund increases totaling $750,000.

The council adopted two items on second reading: revised street- and public-property lighting rates, including an LED rate, and a general-fund budget amendment increasing expenditures by $250,000.
