Milton council approves minutes, agenda changes, multiple ordinances and budget amendment; several items passed unanimously

The Milton City Council on June 10 unanimously approved a series of routine and substantive items, including the minutes of its May meeting, amendments to the meeting agenda, two ordinance first readings and a fiscal year 2025 budget amendment.
Council members first approved the May 13, 2025 regular meeting minutes and the meeting agenda, which included adding a bomb-response training initiative to the consent agenda and moving several items between consent and future meetings. The council then approved the general consent agenda, which included multiple administrative and procurement items previously vetted during a work session.
On ordinances, the council approved first readings of Ordinance 6-25, an update to the Unified Development Code (Articles 13 and 14), and Ordinance 7-25, which amends Section 36, Article 3 of the code to establish standards for mobile vendors in Milton. The council directed staff to publish fees and logistics for vendor locations through Parks & Recreation rather than lock fees in the ordinance.
The council also adopted Resolution 2511 to amend the fiscal year 2025 budget, largely to allocate American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to previously approved projects; the resolution also recognized insurance proceeds to replace a damaged vehicle.
Other recorded approvals included a letter of support for the Santa Rosa Arts & Culture Foundation’s Impact 100 grant application and approval of an annual fee for Market of Milton events. The meeting record shows all votes on these items were approved unanimously by members present.
