The change matters because the consolidated plan is the county's five-year statement of how it will use federal CDBG and HOME funds; HUD must accept the plan before the county can draw down the grants.
Cindy (staff) told the commission the county's 2025 CDBG grant award from HUD is $1,088,092, about $20,000 less than the 2024 award, and the HOME allocation is $551,908, about $12,000 more than the prior year.
