Committee recommends blue‑curb disabled parking for several National City homes; items head to City Council

The National City Traffic Safety Committee on an administrative vote accepted staff recommendations to install on‑street disabled parking (blue‑curb) spaces with signage at several residential addresses and will forward those recommendations to the City Council for final approval.

Committee chair Cindy Quinones opened each agenda item by reading the staff reports and calling for discussion. Ricardo Marias, city staff, presented site findings and the staff recommendation for each request, concluding that the three required conditions for a disabled space had been met and recommending approval. "Staff recommends the installation of a blue curb disabled person's parking space with signage," Marias said during the reports.
