Montezuma County fairgrounds reports busy event season; ADA parking engineering planned

On ADA parking, Justin said he is working with Jones & DeMille to produce engineered plans and expected to have something to review in a few weeks. “If we can get something out for bid soon and then have something maybe contracted for full time, that’d be great,” he told commissioners. He said the county would avoid starting major construction until after the fair season and expected that completing the ADA work would put the facility into compliance by 2026.
