Budget adoptions (FY 2025‑26) The board adopted the following district and county budgets as presented or with staff-recommended adjustments (motions carried): - Clatsop County 4-H & Extension District: Adopted budget of $1,165,250; tax rate 0.0534 per $1,000 assessed value. - Clatsop County Rural Law Enforcement District: Adopted budget of $4,965,540; tax rate 0.7195 per $1,000 assessed value. - Westport Sewer Service District: Adopted budget of $407,870. - Clatsop County Road District No. 1: Adopted budget of $4,561,410; tax rate 1.0175 per $1,000 assessed value. - Clatsop County general fund and county budget: Adopted county budget of $116,318,720 with a property-tax rate for operations of 1.5338 per $1,000 assessed value and a local-option levy of 0.07 per $1,000; bonded debt levy of $1,605,426. The county adopted several staff-recommended adjustments including moving certain funds among functional areas, increasing Westport playground project funding by $45,000 (funded from tourism dollars), and increasing an allocation for HOA dues tied to foreclosed properties (staff requested a $15,000 increase for FY25‑26 and noted potential larger increases in subsequent years).
