Commissioners discussed plaque options and costs: an initial vendor estimate for a 10-by-10-inch brass plaque was about $320 for a basic plate, with photographic etching likely to add to that cost; a 6-by-6-inch plaque was cited at about $150. Commissioners also suggested including a QR code on plaques to link to artist pages.
On process, commissioners agreed the commission must recommend acceptance to the Board of Trustees; town staff confirmed trustees’ meeting dates where an acceptance could be scheduled (the 24th was noted as the earliest available meeting, with a following meeting July 8). Transport and installation could require a crane or boom truck and possibly outside contractors; commissioners discussed a previously made motion that authorized acceptance of donations with a cost limit (a prior motion to accept a donation with a $15,000 cost cap was cited). Commission members agreed to meet with Lori (town staff) to compile required paperwork and estimate transportation and installation costs. If accepted by trustees, the work will be installed on town property and insured accordingly.
