Dickinson City Commission approves routine permits, zoning changes and ends YouTube broadcasts

The Dickinson City Commission on June 3 approved a set of routine items including findings from a demolition hearing, a special election polling location, one gaming-site authorization, a beer-only liquor license, two zoning measures and a motion to stop broadcasting meetings on YouTube.

The commission adopted the written findings of fact from a demolition hearing, which the city attorney said will be served on the property owner; the owner will have 30 days to appeal to district court. If no appeal is filed, staff will seek bids and assess demolition costs to the property.

Commissioners approved Resolution 16-2025 naming the Baijiu Activity Center as the special-election polling place for Aug. 18, 2025, with voting hours set from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mountain Time.

The commission granted a gaming-site authorization to the Dunn County Fair Association for All In Events & Catering, 20 East Broadway Street, authorizing electronic pull-tab devices, pull-tabs and bingo devices effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. City staff recommended approval after reviewing the application.

A beer-only liquor license for King of King Buffet, 1173 Third Avenue West, Suite 23, under new owner Ming Mingdang Zhang, was approved following staff background checks and fee confirmation.
