Superintendent presents nominee for secondary ELA and performing arts supervisor; board approves personnel slate and honors students

Superintendent Dr. Thomas Santora presented a nominee for a district supervisory post and the board approved a Personnel consent package during the June 9 meeting.

Dr. Santora introduced Thomas Duncan as the district’s candidate for secondary supervisor of English language arts and performing arts. Santora said Duncan currently works in the Newark Public School District and previously spent nearly two decades teaching in Lodi. Santora described the interview process and said the panel found Duncan to be a strong fit for the district; Santora said the candidate will begin work when approved and the hiring process is complete.

Later in the meeting the board approved personnel resolutions 1–35 by roll call. The personnel slate included appointments and other personnel actions; several board members announced recusals on specified items during the roll call.
