Kriesenberg said the annexation case, identified in staff materials as NX 25-04, covers about 27 total acres—roughly 10.75 acres for the parcels themselves and about 16.3 acres of adjacent right-of-way. He told council the annexation is part of the town’s primary corporate-limits expansion and that associated development cases had previously been approved and were nearing certificate-of-occupancy stages.
No members of the public signed up to speak during the legislative public hearing on the annexation. With no questions from council, the mayor closed the hearing, the council moved to adopt the ordinance as read and voted by voice. The mayor announced the annexation ordinance was “adopted unanimously.”
Council members who were on the record during the voice vote included Councilmember Matthews (mover/second recorded in the minutes), Councilmember Vance and others; the meeting record showed a unanimous voice vote but did not provide individual roll-call tallies for the ordinance adoption.
Kriesenberg said one of the new buildings in the annexed area has already moved into occupancy, and the other building is under construction.
The ordinance number was read aloud at the meeting in multiple ways and is recorded in the meeting transcript as the council reading of the ordinance during the public hearing; the council did not add additional conditions during the hearing.
