The board closed the public hearing for the Lake Grove Swim Park budget at 6:14 p.m. after hearing no public comment and later approved a resolution to transfer appropriation authority within the Lake Grove Swim Park 2024–25 budget.
District finance staff said the swim-park budget totals roughly $350,000 for the fiscal year and that the requested transfers are necessary to ensure appropriation limits are not exceeded by spending that typically occurs in June. "While the numbers on a relative basis to the district budget are small…these are not small numbers," the presenter said, urging the board to approve housekeeping transfers so the swim-park accounts can cover activity before the fiscal year ends.
The board approved the appropriation transfer resolution; finance staff said a second budget housekeeping resolution for the district general budget is likely to appear at the June 30 meeting when the board adopts the 2025–26 budgets.
