Mary Anne Serblin, who identified herself as living just outside the Edmond city limits, asked the council to consider lowering speed limits on the east side of I‑35 from the city limit to Second Street (she suggested 35 mph), citing frequent passing on blind hills, cyclists, and pedestrians in the area. Council members clarified that parts of the corridor outside the city limits fall under county jurisdiction and encouraged coordination with county commissioners for sections outside Edmond.
No formal action or ordinance was taken; staff agreed to pass the requests to traffic and public‑works staff for review.
