Bridge schedule delayed slightly; county distributes school and library equipment from campus buildings

County staff provided a short campus-status update that included a schedule adjustment for an onsite bridge project and described redistribution of equipment from campus buildings to local schools and the library.
Josh (county project staff) said the project encountered a materials delay and that construction dates were pushed back "a little bit." He provided a detailed schedule: materials arriving by the end of the week of June 6 through June 9 for grading; mobilization by the subcontractor on June 16 to complete concrete work (curb, gutter, sidewalk and concrete pavement) with concrete work expected by the end of that week; asphalt paving scheduled for June 23; McBarry to return June 24 or later for touch-up behind curb and gutter; landscaping and finish work to follow; and a final walkthrough planned between June 30 and the week of July 7.
Committee members asked whether the bridge work remained within budget; a staff member replied it was "still basically in budget."
On building asset transfers, staff told the committee that Richland Center High School staff had visited the Science Building and taken equipment they could use, leaving with full vehicles. "They have left with completely full vehicles each time," a staff member said. The committee heard that other districts (e.g., Western School District, Riverdale) would be notified when remaining usable equipment is available. Jeff Barrons from Richland Center High School reviewed and provided a listing of instruments of interest, staff said; some instruments need maintenance but are considered usable after tune-up.
The Brewer Library reported it obtained "pretty much everything they wanted" from the library building and expressed interest in landscape rock piled near a garage; staff said the rock would be available for library landscaping projects.
The committee requested staff keep communicating with school districts and the foundation contact, Greg Zimmerman, who had reached out about a plotting machine the district was interested in. Staff said they would follow up on outstanding equipment and coordinate pickup/delivery logistics.
