At a public hearing on June 3, the Chico City Council reviewed and approved the final engineer’s report and the annual assessment levy for the Houston Ranch Nob Hill landscape and lighting district.
Public Works staff presented the engineer’s report and explained that the annual assessment for 2025 is $86.07 per parcel, an increase of $1.95 from the previous year. No members of the public spoke on the item during the hearing.
Council moved, seconded and approved the engineer’s report and the levy by unanimous vote (7-0). The city clerk’s record lists aye votes from all seven council members.
What’s next: Staff will finalize levy collections as described in the engineer’s report and apply the assessment to the affected parcels in the district.
