The DeKalb County IRPS Committee approved a change order to extend the term of two temporary staffing contracts used by county departments through Dec. 31, 2025, the department said.
The extension affects contract numbers 121356 and 121357, awarded to Corporate Temps Inc. and Howard Right Employment Agency, doing business as Apple 1 Employment Services. DeKalb’s human resources staff explained the extension is a term increase only; a new solicitation has been advertised but is still under evaluation.
The contracts provide temporary staffing—primarily administrative, technical and field crew roles—across county departments, with frequent use by watershed and sanitation operations, the HR representative said. The previous contract termination date was June 30, 2025; the extension moves that date to Dec. 31, 2025.
Commissioner Patrick moved approval of item 2025‑0705; the motion carried by voice vote. Committee members said they supported extending the contracts while procurement completes the evaluation for a replacement solicitation.
