TMRPA finds Envision Washoe 2040 master plan in conformance with regional plan, schedules minor additions

Jeremy Smith, speaking for regional planning staff, recommended that the Envision Washoe 2040 master plan be found in conformance with the 2024 Truckee Meadows Regional Plan with several scheduled additions to be incorporated by fall 2025.
Smith told the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency that Washoe County’s Envision Washoe 2040 (adopted November 2023) already recognizes several regional elements, including the county’s consensus forecast and regional housing strategy, and that the 2024 regional plan update mainly requires a few targeted additions. "We feel the estimated timeframe in working with Washoe County Staff to achieve these scheduled additions... is the fall of 2025," Smith said.
