The National City Traffic Safety Committee approved staff’s recommendation to add a second signed disabled parking (blue-curb) space in front of 2028 Wilson Avenue following a staff site verification that the home’s occupants hold valid disabled placards and that adequate curbside length was available.
Staff reported the property lacked an accessible driveway or garage and that approximately 40 feet of unrestricted curbside parking was available in front of the house; the existing signed blue curb at the location measured 72 feet and the new space would add an additional 18 feet. Staff said the prior blue-curb installation at this address dated to 2018 and that the applicants met the current criteria for an additional signed space.
A committee member moved to approve staff’s recommendation and the motion passed. No substantive objections were raised during committee discussion.
