Millington Municipal Schools recognized Brooks Mazzola Construction and Delta Concrete for donating concrete and labor for an outdoor classroom at Millington Central Middle High School.
A district official read proclamations naming Brooks Mazzola Construction and Delta Concrete and thanking both firms for their contributions. The district’s presentation said the donation included more than 30 cubic yards of concrete, connection of outdoor gutters to the drain system, and other work beyond the original request. “They went out above what we really wanted and they added some more things all in their dollar,” the presenter said.
Why it matters: the outdoor classroom is intended to enhance instructional space at Millington Central Middle High School. The public recognition follows completion of concrete work and site connections that also improved stormwater routing for the parking lot.
Board members and staff thanked both donors and noted the contribution will have a “positive and lasting impact on the students, teachers, and staff” of the school. No formal vote was required for the proclamations, which the superintendent issued as recognition of the donations.
