County staff presented a one-year renewal of a lease between Cochise County and Northrop Grumman for space at the Bisbee-Douglas International Airport (BDI).
Staff described the leased area as a pad near the runway where Northrop Grumman has placed a temporary shelter, a mobile office and sheds, plus approximately 1,500 square feet of terminal space under a separate lease. Staff said the renewal extends the arrangement by another year.
Supervisors asked about the level of activity at the site; staff said usage had been higher when unmanned flight programs were active but that current regular usage and exact schedules were not detailed in the work session. The board did not take action in the work session; the renewal will appear on the regular meeting agenda for formal approval.
